Jump into the holiday spirit by taking on a 5k at the Reston Town Center! Word on the street is he’s been training like a mad man. Are you ready to Run with Santa?
WHEN & WHERE: December 8, 2013, 8:30 a.m., Reston Town Center: 11911 Democracy Drive, Reston, VA.
SWAG: Pre-registered participants will receive a Run with Santa 5k technical long sleeve T-shirt!
*Please note: Late registrants/race day registrants are not guaranteed T-shirts.
COSTUME CONTEST: Spread the joy of the holiday season by wearing your favorite holiday gear or costume for the race! Whether you dress up in a Santa suit or dress as an elf, you have the chance to win an award for best costume!
REGISTER AS A TEAM: Sometimes running as a pack is way more fun! Register with your co-workers, training partners, friends, or family. A team may have an unlimited number of participants and the top 4 times from team member will make up the team score. A scoring team of 4 must have at least 1 female. There will be awards given to the top 3 scoring teams.
KIDS RUN FOR FREE: There will be a free kids fun run (a few hundred yards). Registration will take place on race day for the kids fun run. Participants in the kids run will receive a finisher medal! The fun run will take place around 9:30 am, after the 5k and just before the awards ceremony.
LA MADELEINE POST-RACE SPREAD: After the race, you won’t want to miss the celebration of the holiday season with la Madeleine’s rich and decadent french cuisine, including croissants and orange juice! Enjoy fun music and an awards ceremony, too!
AWARDS: There will be awards given to the top 3 overall males and females ($300 – $200 – $100) and to the top 3 males and females in the following age group categories:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 & over.
FREE PHOTOS: FREE high resolution race photos will be available for download from the Potomac River Running Flickr page. Keep an eye out for our on course/finish line photographer and be prepared to strike a pose! We will send an email notifying you when the pictures are ready to be shared.
Net proceeds will support various local charities, to be determined following the race.
*Please note: You must pick up your packet (including collectible pins) at one of the designated times. Packets will not be mailed or reserved for a participant after the race. In addition, awards must be claimed within two weeks of the conclusion of a race.
