Join Santa and Potomac River Running for the Run with Santa 5k! The Run with Santa 5k benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We are thrilled to announce we will host 2 Run with Santa 5k races yet again in 2012!
RUN WITH SANTA – ROCKVILLE, MD
The Rockville Run with Santa will be held on December 8, 2012 at 8:30 am. The race staging area will be the Rockville Town Square: 115 S Gibbs Street, Rockville, MD.
RUN WITH SANTA – RESTON, VA
The Reston Run with Santa is on December 9, 2012 at 8:30 am at the Reston Town Center: 11911 Democracy Drive, Reston, VA.
Pre Registered participants will receive a Run with Santa technical long sleeve t-shirt! Late registrants and race day registrants are not guaranteed t-shirt.
COSTUME CONTEST Spread the joy of the holiday season by wearing your favorite holiday gear or costume for the race! There is a costume contest – whether you dress up in a Santa suit or dress as an elf, you have the chance to win an award for best costume!
REGISTER AS A TEAM Sometimes running as a pack is way more fun. Register with your co-workers, training partners, friends, or family. A team may have an unlimited number of participants and the top 4 times from team member will make up the team score. A scoring team of 4 must have at least 1 female. There will be awards given to the top 3 scoring teams and to the team will the largest number of registrants.
KIDS RUN FOR FREE There will be a free kids fun run (a few hundred yards). Registration will take place on race day for the kids fun run. Participants in the kids run will receive a finisher medal! The fun run will take place after the 5k, just before the awards ceremony.
POST-RACE FESTIVITIES After the race, you won’t want to miss the celebration of the holiday season with great music, good food, and awards ceremony.
PHOTOS: FREE high resolution race photos will be available for download from the Potomac River Running Flickr page. Keep an eye out for our on course/finish line photographer and be prepared to strike a pose! We will send an email notifying you when the pictures are ready to be shared.
