“10″ in the running world is a big deal – whether it’s kilometers OR miles. Join us for The Perfect 10 — you can choose to run a 10k or 10 miler on September 25. Use this race as a first time to hit the number 10 in your running career, achieve a personal best in the number 10, or use the number 10 as a benchmark for your other fall races. The question is, which 10 are you up to?
WHERE: The race starts and finishes at South Lakes High School: 11400 South Lakes Drive, Reston, VA 20191.
Both races will tour beautiful South Reston.
WHEN: 8 am, Sunday, September 25
SWAG: Each registered participant will receive a Perfect 10 technical short sleeve t-shirt. In addition to the race, there will be food, music, and awards at the finish area!
AWARDS: There will be CASH awards to the top 3 overall males and females in the 10 miler: 1st: $200, 2nd: $100, 3rd: $50.
Top 3 overall males and females as well as to the top 3 males and females in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.
PHOTOS: FREE high resolution race photos will be available for download from the Potomac River Running Flickr page. Keep an eye out for our on course/finish line photographer and be prepared to strike a pose! We will send an email notifying you when the pictures are ready to be shared.
PARKING: There is plenty of parking at South Lakes High School which is convenient from Rt. 267, Rt.7, and Fairfax County Parkway.
The race benefits the local cross country and track & field programs.
