Kick off the New Year in style by joining us for the New Year’s Day 5k! With a race start time of 10:00 a.m., there’s still time to sleep in a bit after ringing in the New Year! The run will start and finish at Reston Town Center and will cover a picturesque route. There will be music, food, and fun celebration following the race!
Note: Due to course limitations, the race will be limited to the first 700 registrants. Secure your spot soon!

FINISHERS PIN: All finishers will receive a New Year’s Day 5k pin – as a constant reminder of kicking off 2013 with a bang! =PR= Race Series lanyards will be available to begin your =PR= Race Series pin collection!
FREE MASSAGES: Runners can enjoy a free massage provided by Fast Track Physical Therapy. Designed to enhance athletic performance and recovery, the Fast Track team will use Sports Massage, Swedish, Deep Tissue & Neuromuscular techniques to help with improved blood flow to your muscles, reduction of scar tissue, and improved tissue elasticity and increased absorption of nutrients.
AWARDS: There will be awards to the top 3 male and female finishers ($150-$100-$50) as well as awards to the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age categories:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.
PARKING: There is plenty of free parking available in the parking garages at the Reston Town Center.
PHOTOS: FREE high resolution race photos will be available for download from the Potomac River Running Flickr page. Keep an eye out for our on course/finish line photographer and be prepared to strike a pose! We will send an email notifying you when the pictures are ready to be shared.
*Please note: You must pick up your packet at one of the designated times. Packets will not be mailed after the race. In addition, awards must be claimed within two weeks of the conclusion of a race.
