Kick off the New Year in style by joining us for the New Year’s Day 5K! With a race start time of 10:00 am, there’s still time to sleep in a bit after ringing in the New Year! The run will start and finish at Reston Town Center and will cover a picturesque route surrounding the Town Center. There will be music, food, and hot chocolate for runners following the race!

The race is now closed.  Registration for the 2013 race will open in early 2012.

Note:  Due to course limitations, race will be limited to the first 700 registrants.   There will be no late registration and no race day registration.

WHEN: 10 am, January 1, 2012

WHERE: Reston Town Center: 11911 Democracy Dr, Reston, VA 20190

SWAG: Each pre registered runner will receive a New Year’s Day 5k gender specific technical long sleeve shirt!

AWARDS: There will be awards to the top 3 male and female finishers as well as to the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age categories:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.

PARKING: There is plenty of FREE parking available in the parking garages at Reston Town Center.

PHOTOS: FREE high resolution race photos will be available  for download from the Potomac River Running Flickr page. Keep an eye out for our on course/finish line photographer and be prepared to strike a pose! We will send an email notifying you when the pictures are ready to be shared.
