Kick off the New Year in style by joining us for the New Year’s Day 5k! With a race start time of  10:00 a.m., there’s still time to sleep in a bit after ringing in the New Year! The run will start and finish at Reston Town Center and will cover a picturesque route. There will be music, food, and fun celebration following the race!

WHEN: 10 a.m., Thursday, January 1, 2015

WHERE: Reston Town Center: 11911 Democracy Dr, Reston, VA 20190

NOTE: For the safety for all participants there are no strollers or dogs allowed on the race course. For any event on a public school property no animals are permitted, per county policy.

SWAG: Pre-registered runners receive a New Year’s Day 5k gender specific long-sleeve tech T-shirt!

FINISHERS PIN: All finishers will receive a New Year’s Day 5k pin – as a constant reminder of kicking off 2015 with a bang! =PR= Race Series lanyards will be available to begin your =PR= Race Series pin collection!

AWARDS: There will be awards to the top 3 male and female finishers ($150-$100-$50) as well as awards to the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age categories:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.

PARKING: There is plenty of free parking available in the parking garages at the Reston Town Center.

TIMING: This race will be timed by Commonwealth Race Management and will be electronically timed using the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system. Full results will be posted following the race on www.prraces.com and the =PR= Race Series Facebook page.

PHOTOS: FREE high resolution race photos will be available  for download from the Potomac River Running Flickr page. Keep an eye out for our on course/finish line photographer and be prepared to strike a pose! We will send an email notifying you when the pictures are ready to be shared.

*Please note: You must pick up your packet at one of the designated times. Packets will not be mailed after the race. In addition, awards must be claimed within two weeks of the conclusion of a race.
